It was a very beautiful easy bike ride for two oldies on e-bikes. Some of the arrangements got changed at late notice which was annoying at the time but all turned out well. We opted for the four days cycling rather than five and we regret that now. We might well do it again. Easily the most beautiful bike ride we have done.

Everything was so good! Accommodations were excellent. MTB Portugal is a great bike shop. Went to a recommended restaurant every night and completely satisfied. Route was super interesting, kinda hard but worth it.

A great trip! Varied roads, beautiful coastal views, and scenic/historic towns. Accommodations were very nice and the breakfasts were wonderful - not our typical standard! The GPX app worked perfectly and was very helpful in some out-of-the-way locations (and in towns with quirky alleys). Pre-trip info was appreciated and very helpful. Tom was in touch before and throughout the trip with helpful information and provided support when needed... as well as some good-humored comments. Even shared some thoughts on the Algarve after our trip had concluded and we were in the Lagos area. Hope we didn't overload Tom with photos of our trip... Portugal is a very photogenic country! The whole tour was very well curated and we had a blast. This was our first-ever bike trip in Europe (and first using a bike tour company), and you made it a wonderful experience. We would certainly use Rooster again and have already recommended it to others. Thanks for an excellent journey! Here are a few other pieces of feedback, not intended to take away from the excellent overall experience: - The bike shop in Lisbon opened up later then expected - perhaps because our departure was on a Sunday, a day the shop would normally be closed. This meant we weren't on the road until almost 11:00, and it really short-changed our time in Sintra... a hoped for highlight of the trip. As a suggestion, we wonder if bikes could be fitted and organized the day before, and then simply picked up the next morning. That would allow an earlier departure on Day 1. (Part of this was also due to a late-season departure date... meaning less daylight for exploring Sintra... and not much to be done about that!) - We had mentioned this to Tom earlier, but one of our bikes had front derailleur issues. The bike shop worked with us via WhatsApp for an on-the-road adjustment, which helped a bit but not enough. We later took it to a bike shop and the bike tech worked on it for an hour, but still not quite right. Ultimately, Lisa rode the entire trip in the small chain ring. Given that we weren't trying to set any speed records, not really an issue - but a good lesson for us (and maybe an encouragement you could add to Rooster's pre-trip notes) to be sure to run through all the gears and give the bikes a good once-over. We were more focused on seat height, helmet fit, and getting all the other bits (repair kit, locks, etc.) before we departed. - We loved our accommodations! The locations, hosts, room quality of the inns/hotels, and superb breakfasts were really great. So this is a small-potatoes suggestion: after 9 days on the road and doing "sink laundry" it would have been nice to be someplace with a washing machine to give our clothes a good clean-up prior to packing up (and, for us, continuing our Portugal trip). That said, our host in Porto was fantastic... so that would be a dilemma... --- Again, none of these last bits are not critical, just some thoughts. We had an excellent experience with Rooster Bike Tours doing the gentle Loire Valley adventure. The bikes were great and the navigation was easy to follow. Looking forward to our next experience with Rooster already!

What a terrific way to experience the Loire Valley! Each town was more impressive than the next, the many chateaus and museums were well marked on the GPS. The GPS worked well mostly - we each had different directions at times but we made it work. Only problem was that some way marks (chateaus) were closed when we wizzed by too early in the morning. One flat tire was the only bike issue and we got that fixed in just a few minutes. The bikes - Scott Gravel were great - heavier than we are used to but worked very well for this trip. Accommodations exceeded our expectations and were better than we have experienced on other cycling trips (not Rooster). Awesome breakfasts! Tom Cullen, our coordinator was terrific. Patiently coached us on how to get from Paris to Orleans by train(s)after our long flights to France. He checked in just to make sure we were doing well and we felt very looked after. Thank you Tom for your guidance! Highly recommend this particular tour and Rooster.
